TURNING POINTS :
- Mandela became aware of the unjust nature of South Africa society
- 1960 the Sharpeville massacre of 63 black South African
- Mandela had been arrested and sentenced to life imprisonment in the notorious Robben Island prison.
Achievements:
1- He opened the first black law firm in South Africa
2- Conducting their own defence they eventually proved to be victorious.
3- Mandela found the ANC youth league and whose programme of action was adapted by ANC
4- He was instrumental in pushing the ANC into more direct action

George Orwell Biography - Timeline
Timeline :
1903 - born in India
1904 - his mother moved to England
1911 - went to school
1917 - won a scholarship
1921 - joined British police
1927 - he resigned
1928 - journeyed to Paris
1932-1933 worked as a teacher
1933 - his first book published
1934 - got part time job & first novel published
1935 - another novel published
1936 - publish another novel & married Eileen & write a book about poverty
Dec/1936 - left for Spain
1937 - The Road to Wigan Pier published
1938 - Homage to Catalonia was publish & he suffering from tuberculosis
1938-1939 in Morocco
1939 another novel published
1941-1943 worked for BBC
1943 - became literary editor
1945 - great satire animal farm was published
1949 - his masterpiece was published & he married his second wife Sonia
